Fennel Fino is a tuberouskel. The lower part of the stem becomes thicker and forms a kind of tuber above the roots. They are beautiful plants. The taste is southern European; slightly aniseed and slightly sweet. In Italy, the tuber is shredded raw into salads; in French cuisine, it is usually cooked. Very tasty cooked tuberkel with ham and cheese.
Fennel Fino is very healthy and contains only a few calories. Fino slowly bolts.
