Radicchio Seeds

Radicchio rosso has been grown in Italy for centuries and belongs to the same family as chicory. Radicchio has a bitter taste. A junction was made between red-loft and whitlof. In our webshop you can find the redloo seeds rossa di chioggia of buzzy seeds.

There are two types of Radicchio seeds:

• The type Chioggia, a type with dark red headed vines, similar to lettuce, also called incorrectly red lettuce.
• The type of red Verona that is silage in Italy in addition to a normal crop. There the technique of silage was introduced by the Flemish gardener Franciscus Van Den Borre.
