The flowers of the strawflower (also called dried flower) crackle and creak like paper even when in full bloom. The flowers have lanceolate, pointed leaves with flowers in different colours. Where does the wildflower come from?
The wildflower originates in remote Australia where the plant can survive almost anywhere, even in desert-like conditions. The only thing it cannot stand is the cold. The species we sell originated in Germany, where it was grown from plants brought back from Australia.
The plant flowers most profusely from June to September and continues to do so until the first night frost.
