The result of the Swiss Chard seeds Lucullus can be used in two ways. The yellow-green, young leaves are eaten as spinach or the plants can grow to harvest the light-coloured stems or ribs later. They are eaten as asparagus.
Advice from the gardener: For chards you have to thin out in the rows. Prepare the chards as you prepare celery or asparagus.
Sowing instructions
From early spring until mid summer (producing chards), or until late summer (leaves) in rows in open ground.
