There are many zinnia as annual flowers, but also as perennials. The name of this flower species comes from the German botanist Johann Gottfried Zinn.
The species of these flowers starts in an area that stretches from the southwest of North America to South America. Most of them are found in Mexico. Zinnia's are known to have solitary, long-stemmed flowers in a range of bright colors.
